Hi, I'm Saif. I build the pipelines and prompts that decide what "good output" means at scale, teach the models and the people who'll build the next ones, and keep a foot in research on the side.
I'm a Prompt Engineer building agentic evals and AI enablement systems for enterprise clients, designing pipelines, writing prompts, benchmarking agents, and judging data quality with both algorithms and LLMs.
Alongside that, I teach as an Adjunct Lecturer and researcher at North South University, where I teach Machine Learning and Communication Theory and research AI applications.
I also serve as Branch Counselor for IEEE NSU Student Branch, helping organize workshops and mentor engineers who are just getting started.
Most of the actual work is figuring out what "good output" even means for a given client, dataset, or use case, then encoding that into something measurable. I spend as much time on failure modes and edge cases as on the model itself.
My research looks at AI applications in medicine, particularly dentistry and speech analysis. I've published in Nature and other Q1 journals, and done peer review work along the way. I'll admit I get more excited when a model becomes interpretable than when it just gets more accurate.
It's the same instinct as teaching, just aimed a step earlier: getting students hands-on with tools and ideas before they've decided what kind of engineer they want to be.
I'm part of the HUMAIN Lab, a research group at North South University. The lab believes in research that combines hardware and software across biosensors, wearables, AI, ML, and HCI, aiming for interdisciplinary work that improves human experiences in health, education, and the environment.
