Your friendly neighborhood AI guy
Hi, I’m Saif 👋
I work at the intersection of humans, data, and intelligent systems, and I genuinely enjoy that messy middle.
By day, I’m a Lecturer in Electrical & Computer Engineering, teaching Machine Learning and Semiconductor Physics. By passion, I’m a researcher in AI for medicine, especially in dentistry and prosthesis design. I’ve published in high-impact journals, including Nature and other Q1 journals, reviewed for leading publications, and still get excited every time a model becomes more interpretable instead of just more accurate.
Outside academia, I lead human-centered AI projects in industry, building, training, and refining data and prompts that help large language models work better in real-world settings. As a Team Lead and Junior Prompt Engineer, I collaborate with global teams while balancing quality, scalability, and human intuition.
I’m also deeply involved in the academic and professional community. I serve as an IEEE Branch Counselor at North South University, organize student-led conferences, and mentor young researchers. Helping people grow and watching those lightbulb moments is one of the most rewarding parts of my work.
When I’m not working, you’ll probably find me reading comic books, playing video games, or thinking about how humans and AI can collaborate better rather than compete.
If you’re interested in AI, research, education, or building thoughtful systems that keep people at the center, we’ll get along just fine.
