About Me

Hi, I’m Saif.

I work at the intersection of humans, data, and intelligent systems.

I teach Machine Learning and Communication Theory as a Lecturer in Electrical & Computer Engineering. I also research AI applications in medicine, particularly dentistry and speech analysis. I’ve published in Nature and other Q1 journals, done peer review work, and I’ll admit I get more excited when a model becomes interpretable than when it just gets more accurate.

Outside academia, I work in industry building AI-enabled data training systems and evaluating data quality using LLMs at Invisible Technologies, as a Prompt Engineer who thinks carefully about what “good output” actually means at scale. That means designing pipelines, writing prompts, leading teams, and constantly negotiating between quality, speed, and the messiness of real-world data.

I’m an IEEE Branch Counselor at North South University, where I help organize student workshops and mentor engineers and researchers who are just getting started.

When I’m not doing any of the above, I’m reading comics, playing video games, or sleeping.

If any of that overlaps with what you care about, we’ll probably have a good conversation.
